As a temporary measure we will no longer meet clients or business parties at our offices. Our office will be open and the staff working full time, subject obviously to any illnesses, and we will deal with our transactions by telephone, email and correspondence in the royal mail.

If you need to deliver physical documents to the office then please advise us in advance and then post them in our letterbox. Whittinghams Bridgend Office have two letterboxes out of the nine outside the front door and they are in the box on the left hand side and the middle in the top row of the three looking from the pathway. They do have our name on them.

If you need to talk to us about your matter, then please telephone or email the office as normal and we will reply to you as soon as we are able. Please note however that there may be some disruption to the response time to telephone calls and emails if we have any staff away from the office due to illness and we operating at less than full capacity. We would simply ask in the foreseeable future you are patient not only so we can continue to work together for the best outcome on your file but also that we can all stay safe.

Whittinghams is one of the oldest firm of solicitors in Bridgend County Borough having been established by the late Mr. R. B. Whittingham in 1935.

The firm has two offices, one in Bridgend and the other in Porthcawl.

Having spent over 40 years at 12 Court Road Bridgend the practice moved to modern prestige offices developed by local property developers HD Limited in the summer of 2006. The offices have ground floor conference rooms and easy access and facilities for people with disabilities and the elderly. Car parking is available for clients when visiting the office.

The firm opened an office in Porthcawl in 1985 and moved to its current building in 2021. Again this office has easy access and a ground floor meeting room.

We are a well established firm with three partners who have over 100 years experience in the profession between them, together with an experienced commercial solicitor. We aim to provide a professional and friendly service in the areas of Law that we cover and which we feel are important to the people of the Borough.
